Spiaggia Le Palme

Spiaggia Le Palme stands at 7 lungomare della Libertà in Riccione, on the Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna, in front of the Hotel Lungomare and a few steps from viale Ceccarini. It occupies bathing establishments 88 and 89 and is the beach of the Leardini group, which runs the hotel. It covers six thousand square metres of fine sand with about a hundred and fifty shaded places.

The day is sold as a classic umbrella, a suite tent or one of two gazebos, booked online, by telephone or by e-mail; the operator guarantees its best price for online bookings and gives a discount code. Beside the beach reception are two heated pools of fresh water, one for children at sixty-five centimetres deep and one for adults at a hundred and twelve, and the operator calls this Riccione's first beach with a pool. There are also two hot tubs and a babysitting service, both reserved and charged apart. The Calypso beach bar serves the beach.

Pools on the beach. The heated pools sit a few metres from the sand, so a day here can be spent in fresh water as much as in the sea.

A beach set up for children. A mini club for children from four runs every morning and afternoon, alongside a playground, baby-changing and courts for volleyball and tennis.

Dogs, within rules. Small and medium dogs are allowed at dedicated umbrellas, on a short lead, with health papers shown on arrival; large dogs are not admitted, and dogs may not go to the bar, the showers, the shore or the pools.
