La Cantine Beach
The beach club of Delano Dubai on Bluewaters Island, selling sunbeds and cabanas by the day, with walk-ins after noon.
La Cantine Beach is the beach and pool club of Delano Dubai, on Bluewaters Island off the Dubai shore. It opened in October 2024; a Dubai magazine describes it as drawing on La Cantine du Faubourg, with a French Mediterranean kitchen, courts for pickleball and volleyball, children's activities, DJs and a 1969 Fiat Giardiniera serving gelato.
The pool and beach run from ten in the morning until sunset, and the restaurant until midnight. On weekdays a sunbed costs AED 250 a person, fully redeemable on food and drink, and a cabana for up to six costs AED 1,500, also redeemable. At weekends the sunbed price is the same but not redeemable, and the cabana is half redeemable. Bookings go through the operator by telephone, e-mail and an online reservations system. Walk-in guests are admitted after noon, subject to availability.
Open to the street, not only the hotel. The operator writes that walk-in guests are welcome after twelve, so the beach does not depend on a room booking.
Children welcome. The operator calls the setting family-friendly, and the courts and children's activities are part of the day.
A ladies' offer on weekdays. Women may take a sunbed free on weekdays with a minimum food and drink order; otherwise a rental fee per bed applies.
Who it is not for
La Cantine Beach is wrong for anyone who wants an adults-only day: children are welcome and the operator calls it family-friendly. It is wrong for a weekend visitor expecting to eat the bed price, because at weekends the sunbed fee is not redeemable. And it is wrong for someone who wants to arrive at ten without booking, since walk-ins are admitted only after noon.
