Sakhalin Beach Club

Sakhalin Dubai stands on J1 Beach in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, on a built shore of the Arabian Gulf. It is a permanent restaurant with a beach club in front of it, opened by the restaurateur Boris Zarkov with the chef Vladimir Mukhin, brand chef of the White Rabbit Family; the kitchen in Dubai is run by Aleksei Vershinin. The name and the menu come from Sakhalin, the island in Russia's Pacific Far East, and the same concept operates in Moscow, Istanbul and Bodrum. The Dubai opening was announced in September 2024.

The day is sold as a single or a double sunbed, reserved in advance, with private changing rooms and service at the bed. The beach club runs from noon to seven in the evening. Bookings go through the operator's online reservation system, by telephone and by e-mail. The operator publishes no sunbed price. Children are admitted at any time.

Seafood from the other end of Russia. The menu is built on shells, crabs, shrimps and fish of the Russian Far East, cooked with Mediterranean and Asian methods, with oysters, sushi and Wagyu beside them.

A restaurant that keeps a beach. The house describes itself first as a fine-dining room; the sunbeds are the daytime extension of the restaurant onto the sand.

Open to families. Unlike Bâoli, its neighbour on J1 Beach, which turns away under-sixes from its pool and beach, the club admits children at any time.
