Vida Beach Marassi

A resort's own beach on the southern shore of Marassi Al Bahrain, open to outside visitors by day pass, with the pool kept for those who stay.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · operator confirmation pending

Vida Beach Resort Marassi Al Bahrain stands on the southern shores of Marassi Al Bahrain, the waterfront district in Diyar Al Muharraq, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It belongs to Vida Hotels and Resorts, part of Emaar Hospitality Group. The beach is the hotel's own: the resort describes it as a private beach with water sports facilities, and there is no separately named club on the sand. What there is to buy is the hotel beach itself.

The day is sold as a day pass for the beach. The resort publishes the rates: twenty Bahraini dinars per adult from Sunday to Wednesday, twenty-five from Thursday to Saturday, and ten for a child of four to twelve on any day. Beach hours are given as seven in the morning until sunset. The pass covers the beach and not the pool, which the resort states is not available to anyone who is not a hotel guest. Food on the sand comes from a food truck serving beach bites; the resort's restaurants, Origins and The Bistro By Origins, and a pool bar sit behind it. Bookings and enquiries go to the resort by telephone.

A weekday price and a weekend price. The pass costs more from Thursday to Saturday than from Sunday to Wednesday, and the children's rate stays the same all week.

The beach without the pool. An outside visitor buys the sand and the sea, with the water sports on offer, but the pool stays with the rooms. For a family that wants both, only a stay gives both.

A membership beside the pass. Vida runs a lifestyle membership in Bahrain whose benefits include guest beach passes, for residents who would rather come often than pay by the day.

Who it is not for

Vida Beach Marassi is wrong for a visitor who wants a pool day: the pool is closed to anyone not staying in the hotel. It is wrong for someone looking for a stand-alone club with its own name, kitchen and music, because this is a hotel beach sold by the day. And it is wrong for an evening plan on the sand, since beach hours end at sunset.
