Argan Al Bida'a

Argan Al Bida'a is the beach of ARGAN Albida'a Hotel & Resort, at Salmiya in Kuwait, on the northern tip of the Arabian Gulf. The resort has 109 suites, and its gardens run down to the beachfront, with outdoor pools set between the two. On the sand it keeps custom-made cabanas and sunbeds.

The beach is not sold by the day. It belongs to two groups: guests staying at the hotel, and members of the ARGAN Albida'a Club, the resort's membership club. Membership is offered as family, couple, single female and single male, and gives access to the gym, the pools and the beachside facilities. No day pass, price or booking for an outside visitor was found on the operator's pages; the way in for someone who is neither a guest nor a member is to stay at the hotel or to join the club, through its phone and WhatsApp lines. No hours or closure are published.

Pools divided by who you are. Two swimming pools are kept for hotel guests and three more are reserved solely for club members, so the resort sorts its water by status as much as by place.

Membership by household and by sex. The club sells separate memberships to single women and single men alongside family and couple plans, a structure the operator spells out rather than leaves implied.

More club than beach. A fully equipped gym, personal training and a children's club run by ARGAN Bedaya sit beside the sand, which makes this a place for regular use by members rather than a single day out.
