JNcQUOI Comporta

A restaurant and beach club on Praia do Pego, on the Atlantic south of Comporta, selling loungers and cabana beds online for the summer.

The club trades as JNcQUOI Beach Club and stands on Praia do Pego, at Carvalhal in the Comporta area of Portugal, with the Atlantic in front of it. The building was designed by the architect Vincent Van Duysen. A separate residential development under the JNcQUOI Comporta name offers its owners dedicated access to the club, but the club itself is open to the public.

For summer 2026 the day is sold as two products on the sand, both bookable online without stated restriction, by e-mail or by telephone. A pair of Sun Loungers comes with two bottles of water and two towels; a Cabana Bed is a single day bed with the same. Each takes at most two adults and two children under twelve. The beds are served from the restaurant and bar, and the sunbed area is open every day from ten in the morning to six in the evening. Prices and a map of the beds are published by the operator in a separate document, which could not be read.

Booked like a hotel room. Places on the sand are reserved through a hotel booking system, with written terms and conditions, rather than taken on arrival.

A family limit on each bed. Every lounger pair and cabana is sized for two adults and two young children, which shapes who the sand is for: couples and small families rather than groups.

A building by a named architect. The operator presents the club as the work of Vincent Van Duysen, and describes it as blending modern elegance with the coast.

Who it is not for

JNcQUOI Beach Club is wrong for a group of friends who want to share one space, since each bed is limited to two adults and two children. It is wrong for anyone who wants to turn up and find a place, because the beds are sold in advance. And it is wrong for a visitor who wants a published price before deciding, since the operator's price document could not be read.
