NoSoloÁgua

A pool club and a sand bar at the marina of Portimão, with sushi, sunset parties and an adults-only weekend.

NoSoloÁgua stands at the Marina de Portimão in the Algarve, Portugal. The operator divides it in two: a saltwater pool, with its own phone line, and a beach side, where the Bar by the Sea serves on the sand among sunbeds. The company behind it is Lorena Gelados, Lda.

The day is sold to the public. Beds and sun loungers are reserved through the operator's form or by phone and e-mail to the beach desk, and the form is a request rather than a booking: the house confirms afterwards. Pre-reservations for 2026 were taken on the site. The operator lists a question on the price of beds and loungers but does not publish the figures on the pages read. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the club is for adults only, with no one under eighteen admitted.

A kitchen of many flags. The restaurant cooks Japanese sushi beside Italian, French, Portuguese and Mexican dishes, with tapas and poke served at the pool.

An evening house. Sunset and night parties bring national and international artists, and on Mondays the KYMA programme sets modern Greek food to DJ sets into the evening.

A weekend for adults. The under-eighteen rule on three days of seven is written into the reservation page, not left to the door.

Who it is not for

NoSoloÁgua is wrong for a family at the weekend: from Friday to Sunday no one under eighteen is admitted. It is wrong for anyone who wants to know the price of a bed before arriving, because the operator does not publish it. And it is wrong for a guest after a quiet evening, when the sunset and night parties take over.
