TT Beach Club

An adults-only club on Melasti Beach at Ungasan, open from breakfast until nine at night and sold by the place, from hammock to cabana.

Tropical Temptation Beach Club, shortened by its operator to TT, stands at Jalan Melasti Beach 88 in Ungasan, in the south of Bali, Indonesia, on a stretch of sand framed by white cliffs. It gives directly onto Melasti Beach and has an infinity pool and lagoon areas of its own. It belongs to the Wonderspace collection and shares the site with a spa, Svaha Spa Melasti.

The club opens daily from seven in the morning to nine at night, starting with a breakfast service until half past ten. The day is sold by place rather than by entry: bar stools, hammocks, sofa lounges, day beds on the west and east sand, day beds by the lagoon, a VIP cabana and two VVIP areas, one indoors and one on a deck, with a sunset dining lounge for the evening. Booking is online through the operator's own system, by WhatsApp or by e-mail. The operator publishes no minimum spend on its home page; an independent guide lists one for most places.

Adults only. The operator describes the club as adult only; an independent guide gives the threshold as seventeen and over.

Sand or lagoon. The day beds are split by side and by setting. The sand beds are offered for closeness to the open sea and barefoot rest; the lagoon beds are a separate, higher category in the guide's listing.

A long day. Fourteen hours from breakfast to closing, with DJs, live music and a set of weekly rituals, make this a day-into-evening club rather than a lunch.

Who it is not for

Tropical Temptation is wrong for families: it is adults only. It is wrong for anyone who wants to pay for a single lounger and nothing more, since apart from the bar stools and the dining lounge each place carries a minimum spend in the independent listing. And it is wrong for a quiet evening by the sea, as the programme runs with DJs until nine.
