The 41 Beach Club

A beachfront restaurant and bar on Diani Beach Road, built around an old baobab, with sunbeds and hammocks on the sand.

The 41 Beach Club stands on the beachfront at Diani, on Diani Beach Road, in Kenya; the operator also gives its address as Diani Beach Kwale, Ukunda. It faces the white sand directly, and the operator calls the beach access exclusive.

The club is a restaurant and bar first. Its oceanfront terrace restaurant puts international cooking beside Kenyan flavours, and the Bao bar is the drinks side of the house. On the sand there are sunbeds and hammocks, with what the operator describes as personalised service, a service button at the bed and complimentary sparkling wine. The operator states no rule on who may take a bed and publishes no price for one; a reservation line is listed for the venue. No opening hours or season were found on the operator's pages, and no closure notice.

Built around a tree. The operator says the venue is built around an ancient baobab, which stands as the centre of the structure rather than at its edge.

A programme into the night. The events calendar runs beyond the beach day: a week of shisha evenings in October 2026, and a Kuku Thursday that runs from one in the afternoon to eleven at night.

Who it is not for

The 41 Beach Club is wrong for anyone who needs to know in advance what a bed costs or whether it can be taken without a meal: the operator publishes neither, and that has to be asked by phone. It is wrong for a visitor who wants a quiet evening, on nights when the events calendar runs late. And it is wrong for someone who needs written hours before travelling, because none are published.
