Majahuitas

Majahuitas is a small cove on the southern shore of the Bay of Banderas, south of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, where the Sierra Madre comes down to the sea. There is no road: the cove is reached only by boat, and it sits within more than 480 hectares of tropical forest. The beach club on it, with Balinese beds, boho lounges, suspended nets and a restaurant and bar, is run by Vallarta Adventures.

The day is sold as a ticketed event on Saturdays, scheduled through November 2026, each with its own DJ line-up. Boats leave in the early afternoon from Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta and return at half past ten at night. General Access, from 2,300 Mexican pesos a guest for a minimum of two, covers the boat and entry; the Shared Experience and table packages at the same figure, and VIP tables at 2,800 pesos for six or more, are returned largely as food and drink credit with a service charge. A separate all-inclusive beach day runs on Sundays, with kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling and a barbecue.

The boat is the door. Because there is no road to the cove, the ticket includes the crossing, and no one arrives on foot or by car. Cash is needed for the dock fee.

Eighteen and over, with identification. Guests show identification and tickets are validated; the operator reserves the right of admission.

Strict on what comes in. Outside food and drink, electronic cigarettes and sharp objects are not allowed, and the operator does not recommend the day for people with limited mobility.
