Kanna Beach Club

A food-and-music venue on the sand of an all-inclusive Meliá resort at Bávaro, with Bali beds and DJs at weekends.

Kanna Beach Club stands on the beach of Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort at Bávaro, in Punta Cana, on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. The resort is an all-inclusive house of Meliá's Paradisus line, and the club is one of its restaurants; the operator's page does not name the stretch of beach. Bávaro is a long coast of all-inclusive resorts, Meliá and Paradisus houses among them, and this is one of several clubs along it.

Meliá presents the place as a "Gastronomy & Music Experience". The kitchen cooks Caribbean-inspired dishes from fresh local produce, with seafood and coastal traditions at the centre, and the dress is casual beachwear. On the sand the operator lists Bali beds with a minimum spend of USD 75 per adult and USD 30 per child. The page gives no opening hours and does not say whether the beds can be booked by visitors from outside the resort.

A second name at the same resort. In September 2025 the Dominican press reported the opening at Paradisus Palma Real of a beach club called KANNA Beach Flavors, with Balinese beds facing the sea; the resort's director of operations, Mynor Espinoza, called it the evolution of relaxed luxury on the beach. Meliá now carries a page under that name as well as this one. Whether the two are one place under two names was not established.

Louder at the weekend. The DJ sessions by the sea, with resident and guest DJs, are a weekend programme.

Made for mixed company. The operator writes that it suits families, couples or friends, sets a separate minimum for children, and says the menu can be adapted for allergies and intolerances and the venue for reduced mobility.

Who it is not for

Kanna Beach Club is wrong for anyone who needs to know before travelling whether a non-resident can spend the day here: the operator's page does not say. It is wrong for someone looking for a club with a life of its own, away from a resort, because it is one of the restaurants of a large all-inclusive. It is wrong for a quiet weekend afternoon, when the DJs play. And it is wrong for a visitor who plans by the clock, since no hours are published on its page.
