Bagatelle Tulum

A French-Mediterranean beach house on the Boca Paila road, temporarily closed since March 2026.

Bagatelle Tulum stands at kilometre 8 of the Tulum–Boca Paila road, in the hotel zone of Tulum, Mexico, on the Caribbean. It belongs to the Bagatelle group and opened in the winter of 2020, with Rocco Seminara as executive chef. An independent guide describes two linked spaces, a pool with direct access to the sand and a dining room, and a day that moved from sunbeds and brunch to French-Mediterranean dinner, live shows and a late dance floor, for guests of twenty-one and over.

The operation is temporarily closed. A concierge listing gives the notice that it is closed from 8 March; the operator's own page, read on 30 September and again on 2 October 2026, says "Currently closed", while still listing the venue among its addresses. The last guest reviews on its restaurant booking page date from 22 February 2026, and the booking page is offline. One independent guide attributes the closure to the low season; no reason from the operator and no reopening date were read.

Listed, not open. The operator keeps Tulum on its list of venues and still shows its daily hours, but the page itself says the house is closed. Presence on the list is not a sign of trade.

Who it is not for

Bagatelle Tulum is wrong, for now, for everyone planning a visit: it has been temporarily closed since March 2026 and no reopening date has been published. Even when it traded it was wrong for families with children, as it admitted guests of twenty-one and over, and for anyone wanting a quiet evening, since the night ended on a dance floor.
