Villa Blanca Beach Club
A small beach club with nine suites on Los Corales beach in Bávaro, laid out in palapas and umbrellas beside a grill restaurant.
Villa Blanca Beach Club stands on Calle El Pirata, on Los Corales beach in Bávaro, on the Punta Cana coast in the Dominican Republic's province of La Altagracia. It is one of several beach operations on the Los Corales stretch, which also holds Huracán Café, Soles and others. Behind the sand it runs a restaurant with beach service, a patio and an indoor room, a grill, and nine suites: one honeymoon suite with a Jacuzzi on the beachfront, one further beachfront suite and seven with a view of the beach.
The day on the sand is laid out in ten VIP Balinese palapas and fifty beach umbrellas, with two large open-air shaded areas. The operator publishes no prices on its site. Reservations are taken by phone, by WhatsApp and by e-mail. Restaurant listings give the house as open every day from eight in the morning to eleven at night, with grilled food, seafood and an international menu; the season was not read.
Rooms above the sand. With its nine suites the club is also a small place to stay, its rooms either on the beachfront or looking over the beach, so the operation runs a full day rather than an afternoon.
A beach that can be reserved whole. The operator offers full wedding services and private events, for up to two hundred guests on a reserved area of some fifty thousand square feet of beach.
Set up for children. There is a staffed kids club, with Wi-Fi on the beach and private parking alongside.
Who it is not for
Villa Blanca is wrong for anyone who wants to know the cost of a palapa before arriving: the operator publishes no price, and a booking has to be settled by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. It is wrong for an adult looking for a beach without children, because the club runs a staffed kids club. And it is wrong for a guest who wants a long, empty shore, because Los Corales is shared with several other beach operations and part of the club's own sand can be reserved for weddings and private events.
