Unique Beach Club

A resort's beach club on Playa Bávaro, part of the Unique tier at Lopesan Costa Bávaro and included in the stay.

Unique Beach Club stands on Playa Bávaro at Punta Cana, on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, at ground level next to the beach of the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino. It is run by Lopesan Hotel Group as part of Unique by Lopesan, the resort's tier of rooms with their own reception, lounge and reserved pool and beach areas. Guests of the resort have access to a marked-off stretch of beach, where drinks are brought without leaving the deckchair; a second outlet, the Goldfish, serves cocktails on the same frontage.

The club serves breakfast from seven, lunch from noon to four, and dinner on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only, with international and Dominican dishes. Its food and drink are included in the hotel board, and the resort describes Balinese beds and loungers at its beach clubs. No way for someone not staying at the resort to buy the day was found.

Included, not sold. Nothing at the club is priced for the guest: food, drink and the place on the sand come with the hotel board, which makes it a resort amenity rather than a club with its own trade.

Three dinners a week. The club turns from a beach lunch into an evening restaurant on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only, from seven to ten.

Who it is not for

Unique Beach Club is wrong for anyone not staying at Lopesan Costa Bávaro: the club is part of the stay, and no day offer for outside visitors was found. A guest in a standard room should check before booking, because the operator presents the club as part of the Unique tier. And it is wrong for someone who wants dinner on the sand every night, since dinner is served three nights a week.
