Royal Westmoreland Beach Club

Royal Westmoreland Beach Club stands on Mullins Bay in Barbados, apart from the Royal Westmoreland estate it belongs to; a complimentary shuttle runs guests between the beach and the estate. It was launched by the Royal Westmoreland golf resort and opened on 1 October 2018. The operator describes it as an exclusive, private beach club, and its own name for the shore is Mullins Beach.

The club is for members and their guests. That is the whole of the way in: the operator publishes no day pass, no bed price and no booking for outsiders, and what it offers is full beach-front dining, a bar, and bell service on its private sun loungers. A report at the opening in 2018 described day passes for the public as well; the operator's page today names only members and their guests, and no current public offer was found. Holidays at Royal Westmoreland are booked through the estate's own reservation line, and a concierge on the island answers by phone. No season, closure or opening hours are published.

Service brought to the lounger. The day is built around the bell: food and drink from the bar and kitchen come to the private loungers rather than the other way round, with Caribbean and international dishes and cocktails made at the bar.

The sea as part of the programme. Boat tours and snorkelling trips are arranged from the club, so the beach is a starting point as much as a place to lie down.
