Le Miami Plage

Miami Plage stands on Larvotto, the public beach of Monaco, where four private beach clubs operate side by side: La Rose des Vents, Le Neptune, La Note Bleue and Miami Plage. It has been run by the same family since 1975, and describes itself as a family restaurant built on simplicity, welcome and service. Around sixty people work there. The restaurant seats a hundred indoors and two hundred and fifty on the terrace facing the sea, with wood-fired pizza at the tables and a snack bar for salads, burgers, sandwiches and breakfast.

The day on the sand is sold as a deckchair or mattress with a parasol, over a hundred of them, looked after by a beach staff. At the time of reading the operator priced a deckchair with parasol at 35 euros, and 50 euros in the front row. Bookings go by phone and e-mail. The house is open all year, seven days a week, with continuous service from half past eleven into the evening.

Open in winter. Miami Plage keeps its restaurant running every day of the year, seven days a week, not only through the bathing season.

Half a century in one family. It is among the oldest restaurants in the Principality, and has kept the same owners since it opened.

A beach for families. The beach has a lifeguard, access for the disabled and a children's area; animals are not allowed.
