Bar du Soleil

Bar du Soleil stands on Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle, on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, reached by the route de Tahiti a little beyond the Cap du Pinet and Tahiti beach. The tourist office gives its address as 325 Allée de la Mer. Like the other concessions on the bay it stands on the public shore as a demountable structure. The tourist office describes it as a historic beach house, held by the Palmari family since the 1960s and recently reworked, with shaded pergolas and long tables set on the sand.

The beach opens at ten and lunch is served from twelve to half past five. The operator's menu sells the day by the sunbed, the towel and the parasol, and reservations go through an online booking system. The tourist office gives the 2026 season as 3 April to 12 October, daily, and lists a restaurant, a shop, parking, a boat shuttle to boats at anchor and equipment hire on the sand; pets are welcome.

One family for six decades. The tourist office records the house in the hands of the Palmari family since the 1960s, while the building itself, like every structure on the bay, is demountable.

A Spanish accent in the kitchen. The cooking is Mediterranean and meant for sharing, with Spanish influences, from a team of chefs from France and Spain. Fish and seafood are grilled over charcoal, and the drinks run to sangria and iced cocktails.

Reached by sea as well as road. A shuttle boat serves boats at anchor off the beach, so the lunch table can be reached without the coast road.
