3.14 Plage

A restaurant beach at 63 boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, with mattresses laid on the sand and a house that says it is open all year.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · operator confirmation pending

Plage 3.14 stands at 63 boulevard de la Croisette, on the beach below the promenade in Cannes. The site is published by the company PLAGE 3 14, whose legal notice names Jean-Noël Richard as publication director. It is a private beach and a restaurant together, with service running from lunch through to dinner at sunset, afternoon tea facing the sea, and brunch on Sundays.

The day is sold as a mattress and parasol on the beach. The house speaks of maxi mattresses and of the best loungers on the Croisette, and the mattresses are laid directly on the sand. No price for the beach is published. Bookings go through an online reservation service, by telephone and by e-mail, and no restriction on who may book is stated. The house says it is open all year, though its site also refers to an annual closure without giving dates.

A kitchen with names on it. Two head chefs, Bruno Laplace and Frédéric Nortier, lead the kitchen, and a pastry chef and the head of drinks are named beside them. The cooking is described as locavore, built on produce from the markets of the Côte d'Azur, with organic and gluten-free dishes.

Not only a summer address. The house presents itself as a year-round place for lunch by the water, rather than as a beach that empties when the season ends.

Evenings in summer. DJ sets and live music are programmed, a yoga-and-aperitif session is held on Sundays, and in summer the beach holds evening events, including nights for watching the fireworks.

Who it is not for

Plage 3.14 is wrong for anyone who wants to know the cost of the day before arriving: no beach price is published, and it has to be asked for. It is wrong for someone who wants a raised sunbed, because the mattresses lie on the sand. And it is wrong for a guest looking for quiet on a summer evening, when the programme turns to DJ sets, live music and events. For a lunch by the water on the Croisette outside the summer, it is one of the addresses that says it stays open.

season: «Ouvert toute l'année» (314plage.com, home and restaurant pages, read 5 October 2026) against a mention of «Fermeture annuelle» without dates (base row note, same site, 5 October 2026); the closure mention was not found on the pages re-read. The text gives both and states no dates.
