C Beach Cannes

CBeach, as the operator writes its name, stands at 45 boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, on the town's main sand facing the bay and the Lérins Islands. It is a few minutes on foot from the Palais Stéphanie and Gray d'Albion car parks and from the railway station. The operator calls it a Croisette institution of more than ten years, and an independent review site places it opposite the gardens of the Mondrian hotel, which shares the same street number.

The day is sold as beds or loungers under parasols, with lifeguards, showers and changing rooms. The beach is open every day from ten to six; in summer the restaurant runs from nine in the morning to midnight, with separate menus for the morning, for midday and evening, and for tapas. Bookings go through an online reservation page, by telephone or by e-mail. The operator publishes no price for a bed.

A kitchen that stays open after the beach. Unlike the beach clubs that close with the sun, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in summer, on a Mediterranean menu that names sea bass ceviche, seared octopus, lobster fusilli and royal sea bream.

Fireworks nights. During the Cannes pyrotechnic festival the club holds fireworks-night dinners on the beach.

Built for groups. The beach can be hired whole, and the operator keeps a separate line for birthdays, weddings, hen and stag parties, seminars and company events.
