Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière

The private beach of the Barrière hotel Le Gray d'Albion on the Croisette, renamed and given a Lebanese-accented kitchen.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · operator confirmation pending

Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière stands on the sand of the Croisette in Cannes, at 59 boulevard de la Croisette, in the heart of the town. It is the beach of Le Gray d'Albion, a hotel of the Barrière group, and it was formerly run under the name Gray d'Albion Barrière; the new name belongs to the same operation. The restaurant seats about a hundred and twenty.

The day is sold as a lounge chair under a parasol in natural tones, on the sand or on the pontoon, booked through the hotel's 'Book a deck chair' page or by telephone. The operator states no guests-only rule and warns that beds are limited and cannot be guaranteed without a booking. The beach opens daily from ten to six; lunch is served from noon to four and mezze until seven. The beach is kept open through most of the year, with closures announced from 9 to 27 November 2026, 17 to 25 February 2027 and 13 to 26 June 2027.

A Lebanese table on the Croisette. The kitchen is Mediterranean with Lebanese accents: wild fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes and mezze, which carry the afternoon after lunch ends.

A beach that does not stop in October. The beach works through the winter, closing only for set periods of two or three weeks.

Music through the day. A DJ plays on the beach from noon to six, with a lifeguard watching the water.

Who it is not for

Mademoiselle Gray is wrong for anyone who wants a quiet day: a DJ plays from midday until the beach closes. It is wrong for someone who turns up without a booking in a busy week, because beds are limited and not guaranteed. And it is wrong for the evening: the beach shuts at six and the mezze service ends at seven.

  • Sensor evidence, read 5 October 2026 — price: none from the operator (the tourist office lists a range); way in for an outsider: the operator's own page, 'Book a deck chair' open booking with no guest-only rule stated (inferred).

'open all year' (tourist listings, 2026) against the operator's announced closures in November 2026, February 2027 and June 2027. The text gives the operator's closure dates and does not say 'all year'.
