La Plage du Martinez stands at 73 boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, on the town's seafront, below the Hôtel Martinez to which it belongs. It is presented on Hyatt's restaurant site, and its reservations go through the hotel. The operator describes a beach with sun loungers on the sand and a pontoon over the water, with a restaurant and terrace behind.
The day is sold as a sunbed, and only by reservation: the operator says booking is required because the number of sunbeds is limited, and takes it by telephone and by e-mail. The beach opens every day from ten in the morning to six in the evening. The operator publishes no price and no season dates. The restaurant serves lunch daily, with a menu of Mediterranean and Riviera cooking built on local producers and the season, and the beach has its own cocktail list. No rule reserving the sunbeds to hotel guests was found.

Who it is not for
La Plage du Martinez is wrong for anyone who wants to decide on the morning and simply turn up, because reservation is required and the beds are few. It is wrong for a visitor who needs to know the cost in advance, since the operator publishes no price. And it is wrong for someone after an evening on the sand: the published hours end at six.
