Naxaki

Naxaki stands on Agios Georgios Beach in Naxos Town, the island's Chora, a short walk from the port and, in the operator's words, steps from the centre of town. It is a beach bar and restaurant rather than a resort, and it keeps one long day: open daily from nine in the morning to midnight, as the operator publishes it. No season dates were read.

The day is sold as a sunbed booked online. The bed is a wooden sunbed with a cushion under a shared umbrella, with a towel on arrival and a waiter assigned for the stay; positions are offered in the front row and in an upper area. Every sunbed reservation carries a minimum spend on food and drink, settled at the venue during the visit. The operator names the minimum but does not publish the figure. Reservations can also be made by e-mail and telephone.

Terms set out in advance. Cancellation is free up to forty-eight hours before arrival; inside that window, or on a no-show, a fee applies. A reserved bed is held until half past twelve.

A kitchen of two coasts. The menu combines Greek and Italian dishes built on Naxian produce, with cocktails, wines and juices from the bar, and it runs on into dinner at the water's edge.

Massage on the sand. A separate massage service operates from the club under its own name.
