Scorpios

A beach club over the rocks at Paraga, opened in 2015 and part of Soho House since 2019.

Editorial entry · sources recorded · operator confirmation pending

Scorpios stands at Paraga on Mykonos, over the rocks at one end of a small beach, about twenty-five metres above the sea, and its founders chose it for the sunset over Delos. Mario Hertel and Thomas Heyne opened it in May 2015 on a site that had been a simple restaurant, because no one could get a permit for a club there. They named it after Skorpios, the island of the Onassis family, and built it, in their words, into nature rather than onto it. Soho House took it into its group in May 2019. The bus from the Fabrika terminal in town takes about fifteen minutes.

The day is sold as a sunbed or as a cabana for up to four, from eleven in the morning to eight at night, across a smooth bay of sand and slopes of granite rock. The operator publishes no price. Reports from 2026 put a cabana at two hundred euro in August and from one hundred and sixty in May, and sunbeds at forty to one hundred depending on position. The evening belongs to the terrace, sold by the table with minimum spends from four thousand euro.

Who it is not for

Scorpios is wrong for anyone who wants a quiet beach in the evening: the sunset is the event, and the terrace is sold by the table. It is wrong for a visitor who wants the price before arriving, because the operator does not print one and the reports differ. And it is wrong for a long walk along the sand; Paraga is a small beach.
