Alemagou
An all-day beach restaurant and sunset lounge on Ftelia, on the north coast of Mykonos, selling cabanas and lounge beds by reservation since 2010.
Alemagou stands on Ftelia, a bay on the north coast of Mykonos, off the road between Mykonos Town and Ano Mera and about ten minutes from town by car. The name is old Mykonian dialect for "at last". The operator dates the place to 2010, when it started, in its own words, as a whole other beast on the island's beach scene. It combines a beach bar, a restaurant, a sunset lounge, a boutique and spaces for private events.
The day is sold as a place on the sand: the operator invites guests to reserve a cabana or beach lounge beds and to keep their own pace for the day. Reservations go through a live online booking page, an enquiry form, a telephone line and e-mail; no closure notice was posted when the pages were read in October 2026. The operator publishes no price list. An independent guide, reviewed in July 2026, reported a pair of loungers at between eighty and one hundred and seventy euros for 2026, depending on the row and the day, and advised confirming the figure when booking. Neither the operator nor that guide gives the dates of the season or the hours.
Noon to sunset, then the lounge. The operator describes the day as running from early noon to sunset, after which the sunset lounge takes over with DJ sets and cocktails. The independent guide reports that the music slows at the sunset hour rather than rising.
A kitchen that is the main event. The restaurant calls its food Aegean-fusion cooking; the independent guide lists grilled whole fish, lobster, spaghetti vongole and grilled calamari, served through the afternoon into the evening.
Who it is not for
Alemagou is wrong for someone who wants to know the cost before arriving: the operator publishes no price list, and the only figures available are an independent guide's range, to be confirmed at booking. It is wrong for a visitor without a car or taxi, since the bay lies off the inland road rather than within walking distance of town. And it is wrong for anyone planning around exact dates and hours, which neither the operator nor the guide states.
