Solymar

Solymar stands on Kalo Livadi, a sandy beach on Mykonos. The operator runs a restaurant, a boutique, massage treatments and a concierge service alongside the beach, plays resident DJs and takes weddings and private events. No founding date or owner is named on the pages read.

The day is sold as a daily rent for a set of two sunbeds, priced by position: the first and second rows, and the third row and back. The front rows come with beach towels, cold towels, an amuse-bouche and the menu; the rear rows with towels and the menu. Extra sunbeds cost more. Beyond the rows there are cabanas for up to eight guests, an All Senses VIP area for up to twelve, a lounge area for twelve at couches and dining tables, and the 5 Senses Cabana on the waterfront for up to eighteen. The beach opens at nine; sunbed bookings must arrive by half past eleven, cabanas by one, the VIP and lounge areas by two. Reservations are made online through the i-host system or by telephone. The operator publishes no price on its beach page.

Sold by the row. What is included changes between the front two rows and the rest, so the position on the sand decides the service as well as the view.

Room for a large party. The 5 Senses Cabana on the waterfront takes up to eighteen people in a single booking.

A morning deadline. A sunbed booking not claimed by half past eleven is the guest's risk to lose.
