Yazoo

A beach bar and restaurant on Plaka, Naxos, open from breakfast until after midnight, known for its full-moon parties.

Yazoo stands on Plaka Beach, Naxos, looking across the Aegean towards Paros, which is in view at sunset. It trades as Yazoo Summer Bliss and runs a restaurant, a cocktail bar and a concept store beside the sand, with accommodation under the name Yazoo Cottage.

The day is sold as beach beds, booked online through the operator's reservation system or by phone and e-mail; fresh towels come with the bed. No price is published by the operator, and an independent guide listed it in 2026 as still to be confirmed. The place is open daily from nine in the morning to half past one at night. The day starts with coffee and brunch, moves through snacks and cocktails, and ends with dinner.

Full-moon nights. The operator has held Full Moon Party nights for about two decades, and in the season hosts evenings with music chosen by DJs from the island.

Who it is not for

Yazoo is wrong for someone who wants silence after dark: it stays open until half past one and holds parties with DJs and on full-moon nights. It is wrong for anyone who must know the price of a bed before booking, because none is published. And it is wrong for a visitor wanting a remote cove, since the place runs a restaurant, bar and shop on the sand and stays busy from morning to night.
