Kalua
A beach club in the sheltered bay of Paraga, on the south coast of Mykonos, selling sunbed pairs, cabanas and bungalows from late morning until after midnight.
Kalua stands on Paraga Beach, a small bay on the south coast of Mykonos. The operator describes the bay as protected, which it says allows a full beach day whatever the wind, and names a rock standing in the sea as the beach's mark. Kalua runs a restaurant, a bar and lounge, a boutique and a massage service on the sand, with valet parking. Its site lists two sister venues, Zūka and Kalua Athens.
The day is sold in three areas, each reserved in advance. Nearest the main restaurant are VIP bungalows with large shared beds for groups; behind the front row are the classic sunbeds, sold as a pair with a parasol; at the water's edge are front-row cabanas for groups. Bookings are taken by e-mail, by two telephone numbers and through an online reservation system, and a booking only stands once the club has confirmed it by e-mail. The operator publishes no price. The beach is listed as open from ten in the morning to ten at night; the bar and restaurant run from eleven until one in the morning, and until two on Fridays and Saturdays. When the site was read in October 2026 it showed the club closed for the winter and reopening in May.
Three rows, three products. The layout is sold by distance from the water: the sunbed pair in the middle, groups at the back by the restaurant, groups at the front by the sea.
A day that runs into the night. With the bar open until one or two in the morning, the beach does not end the day; the restaurant and lounge carry on after the sand closes.
Shelter from the wind. The operator makes the bay's protected shape its first point, so that a day here does not depend on the direction of the wind.
Who it is not for
Kalua is wrong for someone who wants to turn up and find a bed, because every area is sold by reservation and a booking holds only once confirmed by e-mail. It is wrong for a visitor who needs to know the cost in advance, since no price is published. And it is wrong for anyone travelling between autumn and May, when the club is closed.
