Cabana Paros
A beach bar on Parikia Bay, run by a group of friends, open from mid-morning to ten at night through the summer, with sunbeds by the day and a DJ after five.
Cabana Paros stands on Parikia Bay on Paros, facing the island's port and the village of Parikia across the water. The operator gives its address simply as Parikia Bay, Paros 844 00. It belongs, in its own words, to a group of friends, and it took its present form after a renovation in 2020.
The day is sold as sunbeds on the sand, booked in advance through a form on the operator's site, by e-mail or by telephone; no restriction on who may book is stated. The operator publishes no price. An independent island guide put a pair of sunbeds at between forty and seventy euros in 2026. The bar is open every day from half past ten in the morning to ten at night, from May to October. The kitchen works from Paros and mainland Greek suppliers, with a chef setting fresh dishes each day: bowls, club sandwiches, yoghurt with Greek fruit, sushi.
The day turns at five. After five in the afternoon a resident DJ and visiting performers take over, so the same sunbeds that serve a quiet morning carry on into a music evening until closing.
A town view, not an empty shore. The club looks across the bay to the harbour and the village, so the outlook is the harbour and the village rather than open sea.
A bar first. The operator leads with its cocktail list, a head bartender from Athens and a shisha menu; the kitchen is built around light plates rather than a long lunch.
Who it is not for
Cabana Paros is wrong for anyone who wants silence in the late afternoon, because from five o'clock there is a DJ and live entertainment. It is wrong for someone hoping for a remote, open-sea outlook, since the club faces the port and the town. And it is wrong for a visit between November and April, when it is closed.
