Arienzo Beach Club

Arienzo Beach Club lies on the beach of Arienzo in Positano, on the Amalfi Coast, looking over the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Li Galli islands and back to the houses of the town; its office is on Via Pasitea. The beach is reached mainly by sea. The club's shuttle boat leaves the pier La Banchina in Positano every half hour from ten until one, and again from a quarter to four into the late afternoon. The other way down is on foot, by about three hundred steps.

The day is sold as a sunbed and umbrella, in the club's orange, with shower, changing room and toilet included. Bookings go through the operator's own reservation site, WhatsApp and e-mail. The beach and the bar open at ten; the restaurant serves lunch from noon to half past three. The operator publishes no price; a travel blog put basic packages at four hundred to eight hundred euros. An independent source gives the season as early May to the first week of October.

The sea is the road. Most guests arrive by the club's boat, and its timetable, with a gap in the early afternoon, shapes the day as much as the sun does.

One lounger a head. Every person in a reservation, adult or child, is given a sunbed of their own, so the size of the party fixes the size of the booking.

Lunch on a timetable. Guests with a lunch booking must be on the beach at least twenty minutes before the hour; a late arrival without a call is treated as a no-show and the reservation is cancelled.
