Twiga Baia Beniamin

A former seaside restaurant in a small bay at Ventimiglia, reopened under the Twiga name in 2024 and run since 2025 by a new owner of the brand.

Twiga Baia Beniamin stands at Corso Europa 63 in Ventimiglia, on the Ligurian coast close to the French border, in the inlet known locally as the Darsenun. The site was for years the Baia Beniamin restaurant, a fixture for visitors from the Côte d'Azur. Flavio Briatore announced a Twiga there in May 2024, and it opened in July of that year with a new kitchen and grill and furnishings in yellow, ochre and cream. In February 2025 Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, through LMDV Hospitality, acquired the Twiga brand and its five houses, Ventimiglia among them; the 2025 season was presented as a relaunch under LMDV Hospitality Group.

The day is sold as sunbeds by the sea, with food and drink brought to the loungers. Booking is open to anyone through the operator's online reservation system, by telephone, WhatsApp or e-mail, and there is a separate WhatsApp line for those arriving by tender from a yacht. The operator publishes no price for the day. The kitchen is Mediterranean with international influences and cooks over an open fire.

A small beach. At the 2024 opening the local press counted about fifteen sunbeds on the private beach. The bay is a small inlet, not a long strand.

Restaurant first, beach second. The house grew out of a restaurant, and the kitchen still sets the day: lunch runs through most of the afternoon, with fish and meat grilled in view.

A change of owner, not of name. The club was born under Briatore and passed within a season to a different group, which kept the name and the address and reworked the offer.

Who it is not for

Twiga Baia Beniamin is wrong for anyone who needs to know the cost of the day before booking: no price is published, and press reports put the tents at a high figure. It is wrong for a group that wants a long beach to walk or spread out on, because the beach is small. And the operator does not say whether the shore is sand or pebble, so a family counting on sand should ask first.
