Eco del Mare
A cove below the coast road near Lerici, reached down one hundred and forty steps, with rooms above.
Eco del Mare lies in the Gulf of Poets between Lerici and Tellaro, at Fiascherino, in a cove at the locality of Maramozza. The beach lies well below the road and is reached by one hundred and forty steps; there is private parking at the top. The establishment keeps the beach for its own customers, with a limited number of umbrellas set apart for discretion.
The day is sold on its own terms: umbrellas and loungers can be booked online and cancelled up to the day itself, and a private deluxe cabin with an umbrella and loungers has been priced between three hundred and three hundred and fifty euro a day in successive surveys. There are hot showers and cabins, a bar and a restaurant serving local fish on the beach, and six or seven rooms in the house above for guests who stay the night.
Who it is not for
Eco del Mare is wrong for anyone who cannot manage one hundred and forty steps each way, because that is the only way down from the road. It is wrong for a family that wants space to spread out: the umbrellas are few by design. For a sandier, easier beach in the same gulf, San Terenzo lies on the other side of Lerici.
