Panama by Borsalino

Panama by Borsalino stands on Lungomare Roma at Motrone, Marina di Pietrasanta, on the Versilia coast of Tuscany, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea. It occupies the site of an older bathing establishment, the Blue Beach, which had cabins, tents, a pool and a restaurant on a front of some thirty metres. The operation behind it is Versilia resort srl, taken over in February 2022 by La civiltà del marmo, the company of the Carrara marble entrepreneur Gualtiero Vanelli, who had run the establishment since 2016. In 2022 the hat maker Borsalino joined as partner, the club was renamed and refurbished under Borsalino's artistic direction, and it reopened under its new name on 1 June 2022.

The day is sold on the sand as tents with cabins, in three classes: LUX tents with a cabin and a private shower, VIP tents with a cabin without a shower, and PREMIUM tents. Bookings for the beach go to the operator by e-mail or telephone; the restaurant and the pool have their own number. The beach is open every day from nine in the morning to eight in the evening. The operator publishes no price for the season.

Nikki Beach before the hat. From 2016 to the 2022 rename the same establishment traded as Nikki Beach Versilia. Andrea Bocelli sang at its opening on 5 August 2016, and the press of the time placed it as a rival to the Twiga nearby. The marble pool, the octagonal counter in the water and the white beds date from those years.

Marble from the owner's trade. The pool is lined with Carrara marble, with an octagonal counter at its centre, and the furnishings run to marble, wicker and sand tones, a palette chosen by Borsalino's art director.

A beach with a shop and a kitchen. Alongside the tents the club keeps a Borsalino corner shop and a restaurant that seats up to one hundred and twenty, and it takes private events for groups of thirty-five to two hundred.
