Bagno Marconi

Bagno Marconi stands at Via Arenile 33 in Forte dei Marmi, on the Versilia coast, a short walk from the pine wood. It was founded in 1933 by Agostino and Marianna Polacci, who took the beach concession with family savings on the advice of Cristina Marconi; the name honours Guglielmo Marconi, on whose research ship, the Elettra, Agostino had worked. Four generations have run it since. The present Marianna, who carries the founder's name, took over the restaurant in 2018 and the whole company in 2026.

The day is sold by the tent: fifty reserved tents in three rows, each for up to four people, with deckchairs, sunbeds, a director's chair and a table. A tent is booked for a day, a half day or a week through a form on the site, and the house replies personally within twenty-four hours; telephone, WhatsApp and e-mail are also published. No price is published, and no restriction on who may book is stated. The beach is open every day from eight to seven.

One family for ninety years. The house sets out its history generation by generation: the founding, growth in the post-war years, a structural renovation in the third generation, and the fourth now in charge.

A kitchen planned with a nutritionist. The restaurant in the front row cooks Versilian seafood, with spaghetti with clams as its signature, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes, and takeaway and weekly meal plans.

More than the tents. A hydromassage pool sits at the centre of the beach, with a children's play area, private cabins, towels on request and Wi-Fi throughout.
