Purobeach Vilamoura stands at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura resort in Vilamoura, on the Algarve coast of Portugal. It is one of the clubs of the Purobeach brand and is run within the resort. It has two separate spaces: one on the beach, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, and one in the resort's gardens around a pool.

The day is sold as a sunbed or a Bali bed, reserved online, by phone or by e-mail. The operator states no restriction on who may book and publishes no price on its page. The two spaces keep different calendars: the operator lists the poolside from ten to six between April and November, and the beachfront from twelve to five between February and April. Two bars and a restaurant serve fresh cuisine, healthy dishes and cocktails, and wellness treatments are offered alongside.

Two clubs under one name. Beach and pool are run as distinct places with their own season and hours, so the day a visitor gets depends on which of the two is open in the month they come.

A resort's beach, open to outsiders. The club sits inside a hotel, but the operator's page takes bookings from anyone and names no guests-only rule.

Wellbeing in the programme. Treatments are offered on site beside the beds, in keeping with the brand's emphasis on relaxation.

Who it is not for

Purobeach Vilamoura is wrong for a visitor who wants the price settled before arriving, since none is published. It is wrong for anyone set on a bed on the sand in high summer, because the operator lists the beachfront only between February and April, with the pool carrying the season from April to November. And it is wrong for a traveller who wants a club apart from a hotel: this one is part of a resort.
