Nikki Beach Saint Barth

Nikki Beach Saint Barth stands on the Baie de Saint-Jean in Saint Barthélemy, on the Caribbean, within walking distance of the Eden Rock hotel. It opened in 2002 and is one of the clubs of the Nikki Beach brand. White sunbeds and the brand's teepees stand on the sand in front of a restaurant that looks over the bay, serving salads, sushi, seafood, rotisserie chicken and grilled lobster.

The day is sold as sunbeds on the beach, with lunch at the restaurant. The beach opens mid-morning and closes around the end of the afternoon; the restaurant serves from noon to five. The operator publishes no price, and the only figure found is several years old. Reservations are taken by e-mail and telephone, and the operator states that entry is not guaranteed with or without one. The club closes each year for a break from 15 August and reopens for the season on 23 October.

Twenty-one and over on the beds. The bed area is for guests of twenty-one and over with a physical, valid identity document. Children are welcome in the restaurant with a parent. During special events the whole venue is twenty-one and over.

A weekly rhythm. Fridays are given to rosé and Sundays to a long party with live entertainment, and the season carries larger dates such as a White Party.

Full in winter. Between November and April, the peak season, the restaurant can be booked solid; a booking made well ahead is the safer course.
