Bagatelle Saint-Tropez

A Bagatelle restaurant at the Tamaris end of Pampelonne which, in 2026, sold tables for lunch and, by its own notice, no sunbeds.

Bagatelle St. Tropez stands on Pampelonne, the bay below Ramatuelle, in the commune of Ramatuelle rather than in Saint-Tropez. It is reached by the Chemin des Tamaris, off the Chemin de la Matarane. The operator now gives its address as Stefano Forever, Les Tamaris; the Stefano Forever group, whose Saint-Tropez house is on the same road, names Bagatelle among its partner brands. The structure is demountable. The house belongs to the Bagatelle group, which runs restaurants across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. It reopened in a new setting by Samy Chams on 29 June 2020.

The day is sold as a table. In 2026 the operator's booking page said that there was no beach side this year and that sunbeds could no longer be booked. Tables are taken through SevenRooms, seven days ahead, with a card and a no-show charge; groups of twenty or more pay a deposit and eat a fixed menu. The Ramatuelle tourist office still lists a mattress, a double mattress and a cabana, without a year. When read in October 2026 the operator listed lunch from noon to seven, Thursday to Sunday, and marked the house as currently closed.

A Provençal line in the kitchen. The cooking is led by Bilal Amrani with Rocco Seminara. A 2024 review found it rooted in Provence and in local produce: courgette flowers with ricotta, sea bream with tomatoes, lamb with black garlic.

Arrival by sea. The house offers a boat valet alongside valet parking, and the tourist office lists a boat shuttle, so a guest anchored in the bay can come ashore for lunch.

A table, not a mattress. For the 2026 season the offer narrowed to the restaurant. A guest who comes for the sand alone finds no bed to book here.

Who it is not for

Bagatelle St. Tropez is wrong in 2026 for anyone who wants to lie on the sand: the operator says sunbeds cannot be booked and there is no beach side this year. It is wrong for a party that arrives in pieces, because incomplete parties are not seated and tables are held for ten minutes only. It is wrong early in the week, when the house is closed Monday to Wednesday. And it is wrong for a large group that wants to order freely, since twenty and more eat a fixed menu.
