Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda
A Nikki Beach reached only from the water, in a bay of the Costa Smeralda.
The club sits in the bay of Cala Petra Ruja, in the commune of Arzachena on the Costa Smeralda. There is no arrival by road: guests come by the club's own service from the pier at Cala di Volpe, or by their own boat. The register holds few operations where the shore is sold and no road reaches it; this is one.
The day is sold as a bed. A beach bed with a sofa and umbrella was priced at between five hundred and five hundred and fifty euro a day in the Codacons survey, of which two hundred and thirty returns as a credit against the menu — the deposit-and-credit form the register has now recorded in Türkiye, Mexico, Qatar and here. The kitchen runs a menu drawn from the countries the brand trades in, and the season is given to visiting disc jockeys. The brand also keeps a pop-up bar on the Porto Cervo waterfront, which is not this operation and holds no code of its own.
The sea is the entrance. Every guest arrives across the water, which is rare in the register: most clubs that cannot be driven to are reached on foot instead.
Who it is not for
Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda is wrong for anyone without a boat or a booking on the shuttle, because there is no other way in. It is wrong for a guest who wants a quiet beach day: the season is built around visiting disc jockeys. And it is wrong for someone who expects the price to be the price, since a large part of the day rate returns as credit to be spent at the table rather than saved. For the brand without the crossing, its pop-up bar stands on the Porto Cervo waterfront.
